For the composition of the Sabbatical Leave Committee, each National School shall appoint one representative from among its faculty members who has previously participated in the program. Likewise, the Academic Senate shall appoint one individual to serve as its representative, who will chair the Committee and coordinate its activities. The Vice Presidency of Faculty shall appoint a representative to support the Committee in its administrative and communication processes.
Faculty members must complete their application file through the designated application portal and notify their Sabbatical Leave Representative, who will forward the application to the Evaluation Committee once it has been verified that all eligibility requirements have been met. The Sabbatical Leave Committee will review and evaluate all submitted applications and select the faculty members who will be granted a Sabbatical Leave, in accordance with the established guidelines and the number of available positions.
The Committee’s funding recommendations must be ratified by the National Dean of the corresponding School. If the application is approved, the HR Generalist will prepare the documentation package required to formalize the leave. The Regional Dean, Supervisor, and HR Generalist will then meet with the applicant to communicate the decision, sign the required documentation, and formally complete the Sabbatical Leave process.
